SpaceX has already launched 9 Falcon 9 rockets loaded with stacks of Starlink satellites. Now we know new details about the internet communication network and the beta version. It‘s supposed to launch this summer in the US and Canada. This is the area covered by the current 540 Starlink satellites in orbit. A worldwide coverage will be achieved by the end 2021.
Interesting is that Starlink Beta testers in the US and Canada have to sign a declaration of confidentiality. It seems like SpaceX wants to make sure that there will be no fake informations about how well the network works and how good or worse the experience is.
The hardware used to connect with the network consits out of a Starlink user terminal which looks like a UFO on a stick.
